Adagio For Piano Solo
ADAGIO FOR PIANO SOLO is a quiet piano work with an ABA form. In the A movement you hear a beautiful, long melodic line in A major. Completely unexpectedly comes a very agile and contrasting B movement. It creates unrest. Then the A section returns, but now in E Major. Here it sounds even more euphoric than in the beginning. On the last page you will find 3 beautiful pedal notes where the chords contrast with the pedal notes: one on the tonic in bar 49, 1 on the dominant in bar 53 and then again on the tonic in bar 56.
